This Friday, May 28, the new Topanga Farmer’s Market will have its grand opening event. Pine Tree Circle is the place where local farmer’s will bring fresh, local produce for us to purchase.
The developer, Howell Tumlin, is the Executive Director for the Southland Farmer’s Market Association. In an interview by Flavia Potenza in the Topanga Messenger, Tumlin described the market as “boutique” and geared to an area with a smaller population.

Special guest this Friday will be Amelia Saltsman, author, who will sign copies of her book “The Santa Monica Farmer’s Market Cookbook.” I took a look at her cookbook and there are some great ideas for veggies, along with stories about the growers that bring us this nourishment. Canyon Gourmet will have copies available for purchase.
